Dr. Natalie Novoa presents research on Black Playground Movement in San Francisco (1900-1920) at College of Humanities and Social Sciences Pubfest 2025 [November 2025]
Dr. Novoa shared key findings from her research that explores how Black middle class communities fought for access to recreational spaces in the San Francisco Bay Area during the Progressive Era. Dr. Novoa's research on this topic is featured in the Journal of Urban History.
